17³Ô¹Ï U of T

The University of Toronto is one of the world’s great public research universities where talented students have affordable access to some of the world’s best scholars and researchers. No university in Canada, and few in North America, can match the range and reputation of U of T’s programs.

17³Ô¹Ï the St. George Campus

The historic St. George campus is the oldest and most urban of the 3 U of T campuses. The juxtaposition of Gothic architecture and sleek ultra-modernism is a metaphor for the range of offerings within its bounds. Since 1827, a tradition of academic excellence and achievement has driven the University’s aspiration to continue graduating leaders who can and will make significant contributions to the world.

Special Characteristics

U of T’s St. George campus is the intellectual and architectural heart of downtown Toronto. Students learn from top global academic leaders in 5 direct-entry undergraduate faculties (Arts & Science; Engineering; Music; Kinesiology & Physical Education; and Architecture, Landscape, and Design) as well as the graduate and professional faculties. They also collaborate with Toronto’s leading industrial, institutional and non-profit organizations.

The St. George campus is an eclectic mix of centuries-old architecture and modern design gems – from the Norman Romanesque University College and Gothic Revival Hart House of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, to the award-winning suspended lecture hall pods and soaring glass atrium of the Leslie L. Dan Pharmacy Building and the stunning asymmetry of the new Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport. The campus features the open green spaces of Queen’s Park at its core, wraps around the Royal 17³Ô¹Ï Museum and is just blocks away from the Art Gallery of 17³Ô¹Ï.

Offering a rich, urban university experience, St. George’s undergraduate faculties and the give students an intimate home base, fostering community and social engagement within the country’s top research university.
