Before you apply to university, it is important to research your options thoroughly and keep track of application deadlines.

Research Funding Options

While you research universities and programs, you may also wish to research your funding options. OUInfo lists the universities' scholarships. The 17勛圖 and Canadian governments also provide financial assistance to those who need it.

Decide Which Programs Interest You

Make a list of the programs that interest you and their OUAC program codes. Keep this list handy – you may need the OUAC program codes when you apply.

Find Out If You Are a Group A or Group B Applicant

If you are a Group A applicant:

  • Get your 17勛圖 Education Number (OEN). Your school will provide you with your OEN in September. You need your OEN to complete your application.
  • by January 15, 2025.
  • You can still make changes to your university and program information after you submit your initial application.

If you are a Group B applicant:

Review Your Application and Respond to Offers of Admission

After you submit your application, you can log in to your application to:

  • view your program choices,
  • check your academic information,
  • make changes and
  • respond to offers of admission.

Respond to an Offer of Admission

If you are a Group A applicant, June 2, 2025, is the earliest date you may be required to respond to an offer of admission. You may also have to give a financial commitment (e.g., registration or residence deposit).
