Geographical Information Systems

Geographical Information Systems is a collaborative program with Fleming College. It is available to students in the Honours BSc or BA program at Trent University in Geography or in Environmental & Resource Science.

Students admitted to the program register as full-time Fleming College students during the third year of their Honours program at Trent.

Certified by the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA) and is approved by the Canadian Health Information Management Association (CHIMA) as a degree completion program for HIM professionals who are already certified.

The Health Administration part-time degree program is designed to allow health practitioners to upgrade their education to the level of an undergraduate degree in theory and management of health services.

A key goal of the program is to develop the management and leadership capabilities of health practitioners who currently hold or in the future may hold entry level, or middle management responsibilities in health facilities or in the community.

Management skills and knowledge are developed within the context of a broad understanding of the needs and rights of clients and their communities, and the social, economic, political, and ethical factors influencing rapid change in the health system.

Interdisciplinary Research on Contemporary Social Issues

University of Ottawa – Saint Paul University

Saint Paul University, through its faculties of Human Sciences, Theology, Philosophy, and Canon Law, offers a PhD in Interdisciplinary Research on Contemporary Social Issues. This degree is conferred jointly by the Senates of Saint Paul University and the University of Ottawa under the terms of the federation agreement between them.

The interdisciplinary research doctorate provides a space for reflection to increase understanding of contemporary social issues taking account of the insights of the graduate disciplines of the 4 participating faculties.

The program prepares leaders intending to assume responsibility for addressing contemporary social issues.

While most students attend Osgoode full-time for their 3 years of study, some students may choose to spend a term or year studying abroad, and students in the joint and combined programs will spend a portion of their time at another faculty or institution to graduate with dual degrees after 4 years.

Jointly offered by the Temerty Faculty of Medicine and The Michener Institute of Education at UHN, U of T offers a 3-year (8 consecutive semesters) program leading to a BSc and Advanced Diploma. Applicants may choose Nuclear Medicine & Molecular Imaging Technology, Radiation Therapy or Radiological Technology.
One year of undergraduate study (5.0 full-course equivalents) is required. Academic prerequisites include a cumulative GPA of at least 2.7, including 1 half-credit course in Biology, Mathematics, Physics and Social Science.

Translational and molecular medicine (TMM)

The Bachelor of Science with Honours in Translational and Molecular Medicine (TMM) is a unique collaborative effort between Faculty of Medicine researchers and affiliated institutes. The program integrates theoretical and practical courses with active learning, offering students an enriching educational environment and exposing them to innovative research throughout their studies. The TMM program emphasizes training in active research labs and offers the largest number of advanced laboratories for an undergraduate science program in Canada. Students are taught by both basic scientists and clinicians, providing them with the skill sets required to perform cutting-edge biomedical research. The program is offered in both French and English.

The University of Ottawa is the only medical school in North America that offers the MD Program in both official languages, English and French. Students select their language of study during the application process. On average, 170 students are enrolled each new academic year, comprised of roughly 122 in the Anglophone stream and 48 in the Francophone stream.

The application process and admissions process are the same for all categories of applicants.

Admission requirements: Prior to June, preceding registration, applicants must have completed a minimum of 3 years of full-time undergraduate studies at a recognized university in a program leading to a bachelor's degree, including the following prerequisites: 2 courses in humanities/social sciences, 2 courses in biology, and 1 course in each of the following: general chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, and statistics.

Music Performance Diploma (3-Year Program)

The Music Performance Diploma is a 3-year program designed for students who are also concurrently enrolled in a non-music degree. The program is flexible and permits students to focus exclusively on music study. It offers weekly 1-hour lessons.

Although diploma holders represent performers of high artistic achievement, graduate schools generally require an academic degree as well. New applicants to the Music Performance Diploma program who are new to Western University should email the Recruitment Officer, Sasha Gorbasew before applying.

Music Therapy develops a client's potential abilities and enhances their quality of life by using music to address physical, emotional, intellectual or learning challenges.

As a student, participate in a variety of group and individual music therapy placements in our on-site clinics and throughout the community with a diverse set of clients, including those with learning disabilities, autism, special needs, adolescents and geriatrics.

You can apply to the Bachelor of Music Therapy at the end of your second year in Laurier’s Bachelor of Music or Bachelor of Music in Community Music.

Admission is based on:

- audition
